Grown from a cutting in 2018.
Zelkova serrata, or Japanese zelkova, originates from Japan, Korea, eastern China and Taiwan.
It grows as a medium-sized deciduous tree with a short trunk that divides into many upright, spreading stems, forming a broad, rounded crown.
It produces red-tipped leaves in autumn and bronze new shoots.
